Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how T M Stafford LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Four Lens Framework™ devotional Bible study companion (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. What the Service is — and is not

The Service is a devotional companion only. It is intended to support personal reflection on Scripture through the Four Lens Framework™. It is not a source of advice of any kind and must not be used for:

Spiritual, theological, doctrinal, or pastoral advice;
Medical, mental health, psychological, or counseling advice;
Legal, financial, tax, business, or vocational advice;
Crisis, safety, relationship, marriage, parenting, or life-decision guidance;
Academic, exegetical, or scholarly Biblical research;
Any planning, decision-making, or action you intend to take in the real world.

The Service is not a replacement for pastoral care, qualified counsel, your church community, the work of the Holy Spirit, or rigorous Biblical scholarship. For anything that matters, please consult a qualified human being.

2. Academic integrity — full disclosure required

If you use the Service in connection with any academic, institutional, professional, or publication setting, you are required to fully disclose that you used this AI-assisted devotional tool to your instructor, institution, editor, supervisor, or other governing authority. The Service is not a research tool, citation source, or scholarly reference and must not be presented as one.

We are not responsible for any information or output produced by the Service that may lead to the failure of an assignment, paper, exam, course, degree program, certification, peer review, or any other academic or professional assessment. Use of the Service for any graded or evaluated work is undertaken entirely at your own risk.

3. Public teaching, preaching, and ministry use

The Service is a private devotional companion. It is not a source of sermons, lessons, curriculum, podcasts, social media teaching, or any other form of public Christian instruction. Do not preach, teach, publish, or broadcast Service output — in whole or in part — as Biblical teaching, doctrine, or sermon content. AI output can be theologically wrong, fabricate Scripture, and mislead hearers. Pastors, teachers, and ministry leaders bear a heightened responsibility to the people they serve (James 3:1) and must rely on Scripture, prayer, qualified human counsel, and rigorous study — not on this Service. We disclaim all responsibility for harm or doctrinal damage arising from such use.

4. Information we process

Account information. Email and basic profile details you provide when you sign up.
Study content you submit. The passages, questions, and reflections you type — along with the AI's responses — are transmitted to an AI provider so a devotional response can be generated, and are saved to your account so you can return to past studies. The contents of your conversations are treated as private to your account. We do not read, mine, sell, or use the text of your conversations to train models or to build marketing or behavioral profiles.
General usage metadata about conversations. To understand how the Service is used and to improve it, we record high-level metadata about each study — such as the Bible book, chapter, broad topic, study category, number of exchanges, and timestamps. This metadata describes how the Service is being used in aggregate; it does not include the wording of your prompts or the AI's responses.
Technical data. Standard request information (IP address, user agent, timestamps) may be processed transiently by our hosting and AI providers for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
Safety review. If our automated safety layer flags a message as potentially indicating risk of harm, the triggering message and a small amount of surrounding context may be stored for human review, as described in the Service.

5. How we use information

To operate the Service and generate AI responses to your prompts.
To let you revisit, organize, rename, and delete your past studies.
To understand aggregate usage — for example which books, topics, and categories are most commonly explored — using the general metadata described above, not the contents of conversations.
To protect against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
To maintain and improve the reliability of the Service.

We do not sell your information, and we do not sell or share the contents of your conversations.

6. Third-party processors

We rely on third-party AI and hosting providers to deliver the Service. Your prompts are transmitted to these providers solely to generate responses. Their handling of that data is governed by their own policies.

7. Data retention

Saved studies remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account. You can remove an individual conversation from your sidebar at any time; deleting an account removes its associated conversations and personal data, while aggregate, de-identified usage metrics may be retained. PDFs you download remain on your device and are your responsibility to manage.

8. Your choices

You can stop using the Service at any time. Closing the tab clears your in-browser study history. You should not submit information you would not want transmitted to an AI provider.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary and functional cookies (and similar browser storage) to keep you signed in, remember your study state, and process payments. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
